Welcome Dug...congrats on your first post. This is a great avenue for research and guidance. I have not found one person on here that is not willing to share their knowledge and experience.
My suggestion, based on my experience, is step back and research all your options. I have bought, built, tore back apart and rebuilt because I did not know. And of course, spend unnecessary $$$$.

The weather is getting bad so take that to your advantage and build a killer crawler for the spring thaw. I am in Washington, PA.

Hope to see you some day on the rocks.

Hey Dug... I see that CC lead you to the right place for sure, Welcome. Take his advice... research, then build...

So, hopefully we can get something together before the weather really breaks... if so and you can come, you check out some different trucks.

I keep telling CC that I'm going to get a hold of him... then... well CC knows, I always seem to lose track of time.

I am in Johnstown...

SATAYO,
I was in your neck of the woods last week. I had to take the Indy, Altoona, State College, Ebensburg, Johnstown, Somerset...Tour. Next time I am out there and staying overnight, I will have to bring my rig and we can hook up.

CC, I'll be at WMB in January for sure. I don't think I'll be able to make SVSC's comp...

I'm going to scope a spot on Friday after work... I'll try to take some pics.

Short bus, short bus! Hey I resemble that remark... I will only ride the short bus if I have my helmet.

RC,

MJ (Monster Jam) is in August, located at R/C Avenue in Braddenville, PA.

WMB (Winter Monster Bash) is in January, located at the same place.

We have R/C Monster Truck course races, sometime 5-6 trucks at a time, 5 minutes on Saturday. Then on Sunday, there is drag racing, long jump, etc, etc in the morning. AND, then there is a trials course in the afternoon. The trials course is setup outside at MJ and indoors for WMB.

Also, both events are normally the first FULL weekend of those months.

Hope this helps.

I'm glad to see you guys coming back to Braddenville. It was great to finally have some hardcore crawlers there. Maybe with the larger turn outs... Neil may decide to get some more obstacles, even into the surround woods...?

Great...keep us in the loop on these events. If I am available, I may try to run down there to watch or run. Give us more details when it gets closer. Is there a link to a website that has the info, or an address of the location?

Love the rocks Dug. We have to GTG soon before it gets too cold. That clod should do pretty well.
