2nd Annual Keystone RC indoor winter points series

Starting Sunday at 1pm we will be running scalers class 1, 2 and 3 if there are enough rigs.

3 courses per class. 10 gates per course. Each course will have a maximum time limit.

40 scale points Max divided in half. Following SORRCA rules for classes and points.

One comp event per month for 6 months. You get to drop your worst Comp score and total the remaining 5.

Entry fee is $10 for first rig and $5 each additional.

First comp is outdoors the rest will be inside.

There will be pizza for $1 a slice with drink and chips.

Our first comp of the season was actually held outdoors as the weather was still decent. It was a bit chilly, but nothing unbearable and it made the rocks interesting. We had a decent turn out of drivers and ran class 1 and class 2 rigs. I managed to break mine and Jason broke his, and I think Eli's suffered stripped hexes, but nothing major. Still had a great time!

The 2nd comp of the 2nd annual Keystone RC Winter points series will be held at the barn behind RC Addict Garage in Franklin, PA on November 24th at 10am. Come ready to run scale trucks offroad, and have fun with other RC friends. No age limit restrictions. All rigs must adhere to SORRCA.com rules and guidelines.

Max of -40 scale point divided in half. Time limited courses with a maximum penalty of 40 points. DNF is 40 - gates cleared - scale points. A DNS is 50 with no deductions.

$10 entry fee for first rig, and $5 each additional. $5 entry for kids. Refreshments available for purchase. Dress warm as the barn doesn't have much heat.

2013/2014 Winter Scale Points Series rules and guidelines

No whining!
Have fun!
All rigs must fit in the correct classes according to the sorrca.com guidelines. No motor on axle rigs or comp crawlers.
We will be following 2013 SORRCA rules for scoring and teching.
Scale points will be capped at -40 and then divided in half to help promote driving not just glueing on scale items.
Rigs will be teched in at each comp to verify everyone is playing fair.
There are 6 comps in the series. 1 a month on the 4th Sunday of the month.
You may dump your worst score, then the remain 5 comps get added up and lowest score wins.
There is a 40 point max on each course. If you time out or point out then, 40 - Gates cleared - scale points = final course score
3 courses per class. We add all 3 courses up to get your class score for the day. Lowest score wins.
Any comp that you can not make it to you will get a 50 point Did Not Start penalty, and no bonus points will be reduced.
Class 2 and 3 should have winch and should be water proofed. There maybe some outside snow runs this year.
Class 1 courses shouldn't require winching.

Please bring your own tools and some sort of pit mat. If you have a folding table then bring that as there is limited table space.
Be sure to sign up for the comps you think you will attend so that we have an idea how many to expect.

The barn is nearly setup and we will finish it tonight. Planning to test it out and make sure it's hard enough. We will not practice the courses. Those will be setup right before everyone runs.
