Proposed 2014 EPARCCrawler Scale Comp changes

Here is a rough copy of the proposed changes for 2014 EPARCCrawler Scale Season

Voted on and approved for the 2014 season. These changes will be evaluated at the end of the season.

2014 inclusion of an OPEN CLASS for new drivers that run the Deadbolt, Ridgecrest and Wraith.

The OPEN CLASS will run on the Class 2 courses.


Class 1 and Class 2 and OPEN CLASS will be broken into seperate divisions; Adventurer and Trail Ready.

If an Adventurer driver wins 5 times in a season they will move up to the Trail Ready level.


Each division (ADVENTURER and TRAIL READY) in the classes would be determined by the scale points you run.

The points listed below would be the 1/2 point tally using the SORRCA rules.
EPARCCrawler addendums will apply.

Box Stock-15 scale points (ADVENTURER)
16-30 Scale Points (TRAIL READY)
MAX Scale Points 30 this is the half point total

Scoring:
1st =0 points
2nd =1point
3rd=2 points
4th=3 points
5th=4 points
6th=5 points
7th=6 points
8th=7 points
DNS=10 points


The lowest point total at the end of the 9 comps would be the series winner.

The series is broken up into Spring(3)/Summer(3)/Fall(3) (9 comps in all)

Changing the scoring to this method would be much more competitive and the season scores would be much closer.

There will be two drop comp. scores at the end of the season. Drivers will drop their two worst scores.




Rational:

• Inclusion of an OPEN CLASS including of Deadbolt, Wraith and Ridgecrest is to promote the growth of the hobby and interest in the competition aspect of scale RC.
  

• Breaking the scale classes into divisions will cater to the new comers just starting out and the experienced drivers alike.

• Drivers will be challenged on their current levels of experience and ability of their rigs.
