Motorama Scale Trials

Who all is going to the Scale Trials at Motorama this year? 1,000,000 square feet of 1:1 cars, 1:1 trucks, and RCs! I will be there with a 2 door black jeep wrangler with 4 wheel steer. Pretty awesome event!

Hey I was looking at the motorama tires specs. So according to the tire listing this would eliminate Proline and other non manufacture licensed tires???

Is this right or am I missing something?

I'll be there. Should be a blast. Hoping to break everything.

in the ST Class and Open Class, Yes. I was rather disappointed in that huge rule change. Since that happened I will be running in the Extreme Class.

Well that sucks, That's really going to hurt attendance. Not going to drop cash on new tires just to run for a weekend

I don't think it will hurt attendance, just drive it to the other classes like extreme. I have expressed that I find it silly and short sighted for the hobby to restrict classes based on tires that are made by a company that have to be licenced.

Dumbest rule I've ever seen. Competitions are but a tiny segment of this already small niche of a small hobby and they want to make it even smaller by limiting the competition to certain tires? I'm not sure who is in charge, but that is a boneheaded rule that is going to alienate people.

Remember the good old days when scalers said comp rules were dumb?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Sometimes you have to do a little traveling unfortunately. God knows I have done my fair share of trecking around the US playing with toy trucks.

I think Brian Parker makes all the rules

And hopefully you'll be doing some more, this year!

As for your other post.. Baahahaha!!! How about it! "So many rules in comp, I'll stick to scalers"..

It's nice to see some of them guys coming back to comp..

On another note.. I'm still trying to get my scalers ready for motorama..

Make sure you bring a ...cowbell to go along with your unlicensed tires.

"The only required scale items for this class are a fire extinguisher and cow bell."

I was debating going to try it out this year until I read the rules.... where the hell do you get a scale cowbell?
