EPARCC Fun Run

RESCHEDULE DATE MARCH 26TH
SAME TIME SAME PLACE.

The first scale fun run of the season will be March 18th at French Creek State Park. We will be meeting at 9AM at the boatlaunch. Come on out and enjoy the hike around the lake with a bunch of little toy trucks. Bring your SCX, bring your wraith, bring your trailfinder, bring whatever you have. Just make sure to bring enough batteries to make it around the lake. This is about a 2-3 mile hike.

Depending on the weather, the trails can vary greatly. There is usually some mud to play in, but don't worry if you aren't waterproofed. There are ways around the mud and water. We hope to see lots of new people out there!

More info on French Creek can be found here:

I've been to FC once with a scaler. I didn't see anything that would challenge a Wraith. Is there challenging terrain at that part that I don't know about?

Some of the trails on the far side of the lake can be fun. not as challenging as St. Peters. It will be nice to get out and get a little wheel time in.

There is parking at the boat dock. I'll be bringing my mud boots. You will have a great time.

So if we get this snow storm of the year is the event still on?

I did a fun run last year with my Kid, and it was an enjoyable morning, everyone was friendly, and we just shot the shit as we drove around. It was just a good time with zero pressure of any sort. Everyone there was really pretty great to my kid, kind of tells you the type of people around.

So I learned this last year at the G6, basically no truck can go everywhere, and some of the most fun I had was pushing, pulling, and winching myself and other out of a tight place. If you get stuck you just provided someone with a chance to have a little more fun.

Hopefully the weather works out. But if we get the 18-24 called for there is not much hope of any trails clear enough to run on any where in eastern PA:lmao: Barring that scenario I planning on showing up.

I would like to go out, if we get crazy snow it might make it impassable for the rigs. I will keep you all posted."thumbsup"

Snow totals at the park will make it impossible to drive. We will be going out at a later date. I will post a new date as soon as possible. So bummed right now.

Me and my friend each have two batteries for our wraith's and I'm guessing that won't be enough right?

What size batteries? I usually get about 2 hours run time out of my 2200mah batteries on trail runs. I run 5000mah packs in my Wraith. I've never taken that on a trail run but I'd imagine at least 4 hours run time which would be plenty for what we'll run Sunday. Also, guys will have extra packs. If you let me know what connectors you use I have at least 4 extra 2200mah packs I'd let you borrow to get you through the day.

I'll have 6, 2200 3s with deans connectors with me. Should only need 3 between me and my boy. If you run low and need them I'll have them in my back pack. Your welcome to use them. If you are even slightly concerned I have 10 more in the fridge, in storage I can charge a couple more. Let me know.

Snows is melting up in the poconos, cant see the grass yet but its getting close. Fingers crossed for Sunday, I need to get the kid out of the dam house and walking around
