| Good crawling near Carlisle?
I'll be in Carlisle for the GM Nationals this weekend, and I figured I might as well bring some of the toys. Does anybody have suggestions for good crawling locations close to Carlisle? Edited to add: Because we're going to be at the car show for most of the time, I'm not going to have an opportunity to drive any sort of distances to get to a crawling spot. I'm hoping to find something right in the Carlisle area, or between Carlisle and Harrisburg. Last edited by Jim85IROC; 06-18-2018 at 12:37 PM. |

just incase anybody else reads this down the road, I found a place called Waggoner's Gap Hawk Watch on Kittatinny Ridge just north of Carlisle on 74. It started pouring about 15 minutes after I got there, so I didn't get far, but the rocky trail was fantastic. My Bomber did very well on the trail. I didn't get to test my Gen7 because I found that both front axles were broken. My Clone Hammers struggled with the lack of wheelbase and ground clearance, and was definitely not well suited to this type of terrain, so if you make the trek, make sure you've got something with good ground clearance, and preferably larger tires. |
