Outside width needs to be no more than 12.5", you can be smaller than that, though...

Thanks,
John

Beers to you John and to you Steve for help out with this!

On a side note, take your time finding a spot. I mean, push it back a week or up a day to Saturday....not that I would have racing on that day also or anything....

Hey SteveStock,

I know where that is. Right behind Kmart with a huge lot next to Destinta. Looks like a good practice spot. I looked at that to but thought the amount of blacktop being a problem. Let me know what you thingk and maybe someone else can chime in.

Ding, Ding, Ding

You guessed it...

Really, it is a good place to practice. I don't know about comps though. Steve and I use to run Nitros down there.

Monday after work I think I may run up to a spot in Beaver I was told about at the races on Sunday. If anyone is interested it is up past the Beaver HS, and is fair game area from what I understand. Recon and more info to come....

Hey Steve when you drop off the rims, let John at AB-C know if I don't make to please bring them to track at Beaver on Sunday...Thanks!!

These are just Practice Comps right now. No cost. Just an opportunity to GTG and meet everyone. Comps will start in June.

Hope to see ya there.

Sounds good, If I can get some of the guys to go with me we might try to get to one of the practice comps to get to know everybody. I will let you know. I will have to get directions then, when I know we are coming.

There is a place in Apollo called Roaring Run.

It's a rails to trails type of paved trail with mountain bike racing in the woods also.

We used to ride our dirt bikes around there and i remember there being rocky terrain like at Caspari.

You may have to walk (or ride a bike) down the paved trail to get to some rocks though.

Here is a cool site with pics to give an idea:

I think we found our place. Mike, do so recon on the location and see if there is a place that we can park and get to pretty easily. I love the creek side environment also.

See if you can get there this weekend so we can nail this down by Monday.

Great find!!!!

It used to be a pretty popular dirt biking spot untill the paved bike trail went in. This place is about 10 minutes down the road from me.

There is a parking area at the trail head.

I will go this weekend and check it out. I'm going to go where we used to unload our bikes, which is away from the main parking area, and see how that area is.

If anyone is looking to go on a bike ride, there is a paved trail that goes for a couple miles and then turns to a cinder-type trail till the end. It is only about a 5 mile ride and is very flat...good for kids and older peeps to ride on!

Pretty easy to get to. Once you get to Apollo, you go across the Apollo bridge and turn right. The road is very narrow, almost one lane in fact, and it will split...follow the right road along the river and you can't miss it.

Here's a link to directions:
