2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos I thought I would start a thread for all of us to post cool event photos in so here is some of mine. I promised some of you that I would post some crawling/on the rock photos. Sorry to say that this old man was doing good just to carry his radio, water and climb rocks during the event, let alone carry my camera and take photos. So none from me of the event crawling. "thumbsup" Marcia and I were the first to the site and among the last to leave Monday morning so here is the "Ascender Assemble" camp site. http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/...2-IMG_9159.jpg http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/...3-IMG_9160.jpg http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/...4-IMG_9161.jpg http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/...5-IMG_9162.jpg More to come, I need to charge my computer battery! Be right back. |

Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Thanks for starting up a thread Ernie. Pro-line by the fire was a nice little vacation and it was great to meet some of the RCCrawler community "thumbsup" Heres a shot I had though came out terrible, taken the day after the event https://i.imgur.com/CBAklNAl.jpg Shinchu's 79' F100 (who's name I now understand) https://i.imgur.com/f85ZZacl.jpg Shinchu's truck and my newly built leaf sprung GCM Racing CMAX with a cruiser body https://i.imgur.com/xEaPi4ul.jpg I'll just link this panoramic so we dont stretch the page a bunch. We rushed up the hill to get a good view of the sunset. Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Looks like it was a fun event! |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Seeing all the pics makes me really want to get out there for the next Proline event. I asked my daughter what she thought about going out to California to drive tiny trucks. When I told her it would only take 3 days to drive there, she was less than enthralled with the idea. Maybe one day. |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos GREAT PICS! i got fired from my own thread for lack of pics during the event hahaha but these are GOLD! the tiny tire 79 ford that i started calling "the ford courier" was really getting it done! just not fast enough, as i was left in the dust by the more capable trucks very quickly. even my son chewed up the trails easily with his barrage! was very nice on my last crawl to have company of the CMAX 'yota cruiser. and Casey i don't know if i ever told you what "Shinchu" translates to, but yes i have roots in Japanese "sideways" motorsports ;) here is my tiny amount of pics, from the tiny tire ford owner lol http://i64.tinypic.com/2ahte2e.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/dfvuyt.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/2yjrclw.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/2cxxr4i.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/rup91u.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/1z306r5.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/538o7k.jpg SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!! cant wait to go again next year, and Rick, my father in law, should have his own rig by then! (his yeti in the last pic was just not up to the task and had some overheating issues) Thank you, everyone at ASCENDERS ASSEMBLE camp for making it such a great trip! and THANK YOU PROLINE!!!! |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Great photos! |

Heres a group shot of some of the rigs https://i.imgur.com/hQYZ8qUl.jpg Show and Shine, look in the middle and you'll see the top of the RC4WD Dakar truck that won 1st place even though it was a unmodified RTR :lmao: https://i.imgur.com/CLvve2Nl.jpg Some shots at the golden hour https://i.imgur.com/fjKoY0Ol.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5U99RDVl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/c5DqSN7l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1Q15xd2l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/yHy3FSTl.jpg Rockhugger, Natedog, Codyboy and my last crawl for the weekend https://i.imgur.com/srWEoJ5l.jpg looking over Apple Valley https://i.imgur.com/XzzvcSql.jpg One of the few taken while running the gates, this was a tight squeeze (was too fun to stop and take pics) https://i.imgur.com/4vyFOO1l.jpg Here's Rockhugger hugging some PVC (my first time seeing one of these) Weeeeeeeeee https://i.imgur.com/9GO3ZfAl.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/5mM0vlol.png https://i.imgur.com/5I9Mw72l.png And a really short clip was all I got on film <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uqrEGFex8o8" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> The music was coming from a TRX4 out of shot, it had a little bluetooth speaker running off a smart phone in his pocket, pretty cool! |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Nice job Casey, That was a cool gate!"thumbsup" Ernie |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos haha i love seeing pics and video of my rail slide sadly for me i never tested it just built it and set it up for you guys. i had built the smaller 7 foot one last year and after all the cool comments i knew i had to do something longer to add into this years event. i hope you guys can make it back next year maybe i will have to find another spot and add a 3rd one to the event lol |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos i took one look at that rail, my tiny tires, and my 3D printed grill and said NNNNNOPE! lol still very cool. my son tried and fell off halfway with his barrage. i missed it but he bent an axle falling off something similar later. thanks to soft Chinese axles i was able to bend it back straight lol |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos Should call that slide Lions Back from Moab. Referring to the 4x4 that lost the brakes coming down. SENT from THE DARK SIDE of THE MOON |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos that's one of the scariest vids I've ever seen. *shudders* (if you haven't seen it, here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpbkTncjEOs ) my little ford nearly had a moment like that when the twin hammers 2 speed selector popped out (servo removed because poof) and it started free wheeling! all i could do was steer until it easily got hung up on the front diff, as it did all weekend hahaha YAY TINY TIRES!!!! oh and yes i agree with Casey about the show-n-shine winner. a STOCK RTR won?! LLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL got it so the formula is something like this: spend a ton of money on a stock truck + assemble it = WIN. i can already predict next year's winner... start saving about $900 if you want that trophy. |

Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos You get two checked bags with Southwest. That's at least enough room for 4 trucks, clothes, tools, spare parts, etc. Its about a 3 hour drive from Vegas and flights here are usually pretty cheap. I couldn't believe the RTR won the show n shine. Cool rig but its stock. |

It did occur to me that we could drive my new Civic out there and back for just north of $300 for gas. Drove to Yellowstone last summer so road trips are not a major problem. |

Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos I had a great time. My camping companions (Chris, Bill, Ernie, Nate, Casey - Cheri, Kim, Marcia, and friends Oscar & lady friend, Chris, Andrew and Rick) were all amazing, fun to talk to, generous, and welcoming!!!! We all broke bread together, shared home made spirits, blazed trails, supported each other when broken or pulling a rad line on the rocks, and most of all, had much fun!!! I didn't take any pics so a big thank you to those who captured my rig. It was great to meet you Frank211 "thumbsup". RCC member Confused (Mark and his sister) dropped by the Ascender camp to meet Natedog himself... such nice people, and very enthusiastic about the ascender and crawling in general. "thumbsup" Looking forward to the next event. "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: 2018"Pro-line By the Fire" photos So when i went to the event, i wasnt expecting to meet the guys from here. I was there for only like 2 to 3 hours before my battery ran out. So after registration the show N shine was up, i was in the back just lookin at all the BADASS rigs, until THIS gang(LOL) walked up next to me with their AA t-shirts , i was like hey its the guys from the forum, COOL, so i said, y'all from the forum, and they all said yes , started to introduce all ourselves, Browneye,Natedog,Rockhugger,HumboldtEF. (The guy in the green shirt, sorry if i didn't get your name, if you're on this forum) After sNs we started to go up on the trails chatting , seeing scale items on the floor,LOL,(treasure chest found) until my lipo cut off went off, went to side to change the battery, had a problem with my body, didnt stay on HOT DAY messed it up(probably) i then went back down the trail to go try to fix it and get back up there, but i couldn't, i was bummed, so i left the event. I only live about 20mins away, i could've went back, but way to bum'd about the situation. I went back Sunday hoping to meet up with the guy's, but no luck in finding yall. I took a couple of pics mostly from Sundays event. For the little time i had chatting with them, great group of guy's ! Was GREAT meeting you guy's ! Hope to crawl with y'all next year ! Who ever else from here that was in the group, sorry we didnt meet ! http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/lbcfwh7l.jpg http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/4tqcqvnn.jpg http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/3csucm7e.jpg http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/m3ur29gs.jpg http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/2mtwxdwg.jpg http://fs1.directupload.net/images/180531/ilzqx5tv.jpg http://fs5.directupload.net/images/180531/63opaxt5.jpg My pics |
