All I can say is, "Huzzah", "Break out the mead", and "Do I need to pull out my Ren Faire garb?" [emoji38][emoji1688]

~ More peace, love, laughter, & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place

I’ll be living in California as of 2 weeks for now, So my dad (dezracer9) and my self got some tickets. Not exactly sure what rigs I’ll have with me, but we will definitely be there!

Obviously, I was joking about the garb. Besides, that stuff wouldn't fit anymore (haven't worked Ren Faire in over 20yrs, and I'm "many" lbs heavier now). Unfortunately, looks like I won't be able to go (and, thankfully, I never got around to buying tix), as I'm having to delay my move...and, that looks to be right around the time I'll be moving. On the 'plus' side, come next year, I'll be living a LOT closer (Vegas, instead of the SF Bay Area), so greater probability of attending.

Guess you could say I was "born in the system" - San Francisco native (tho I no longer live *in* SF...currently (for the past 18yrs) in the South Bay). What kinda 'sucks' is that I was also planned to attend (and, maybe, competing at) NAMBA Nationals this year (Monterey area), but that's also in the "moving timeframe window". My entire RC 'schedule' for the last third of the year has to be "shut down". But, I WILL make this move happen...just a matter of "when".

Guess I haven't been by here for awhile...

You guys coming down this year?
Yes, we'll have 'camp vaterra'. "thumbsup"

I need to find out of Ernie is coming down as well. They were trying to decide if gas prices were going to cut their cross-country trip short.

We did a 2500 mile trip to WA and back, stopped for a short visit with them in OR.

Spent about $1800 on gas. That buck a gallon drop over summer would have saved us about $300. Oh well.

We'll be coming up Thursday afternoon, get a group camp spot out on the north grounds. I think Oscar is going to rent an RV to come up as well.

I built a new SSD Trail King and haven't even run it.

I'll look out for you guys when I'm out there. I'll be hanging out with the local crawlers I usually crawl with. Still undecided what I'm bringing, but if you do see a rig you recognize of mine, just say hi!

Its these great events that leave me lamenting the fact that I am living way up in Nowheresville. One of these years I need to take this in.

I hear ya! My little town of Farawayville is really not too far from you!

It seems like all of the cool RC events are all on the west coast or thousands of miles away!

For all that are attending PLBTF, looking forward to seeing pics and vids. It looks like a great event to attend!

What do you guys all do for batteries out there? Bring a ton of charged batteries, charge with your car, portable power station, etc.?

Re: Proline by the fire 2022

When I went Ernie had an RV and he kindly let us use its generator. If I didnt have that I would have hooked my charger up to my car battery. Having lots of batteries is helpful too.
