I was planning on getting one, but then decided to go with a TLT.. since thats what most people are modding.. etc etc.

I'd like to know the basics I guess. like how hard to find are parts, are they easily moddable like the tlt? BLAH BLAH BLAH you know, the basics. I just hate spending a bunch of $$$ on a rig not knowing much about it and then finding out when I get it togeather that it sucks and then I'm stuck with it.

If you are looking at making a serious 2.2" 1/10 crawler I'm not sure the PTI is the way to go. Out of the box it's a pretty good little truck, but I'm a little concerned about the durability of some of the components if it's scaled up with larger tires and made heavier. The parts aren't that hard to come by since most of the parts are from other R/C cars, especially the TC3/4. The axle housings are about the only parts specific to the truck that you couldn't replicate yourself and aren't from the TC3/4. The diffs are ball diffs from the TC3/4 which makes it a bit difficult to lock it up, but you can buy spools, but that extra $$$ you have to spend. It also would need a GD600 or some other transmission as the stock trans is just a direct drive, which is fine for the little truck with the lower profile tires, but not good if you scale it up and use larger tires.

In short, it's a good little truck, but I'm not sure it's good 1/10 crawler material.

Cool, thanks for the info. I thought it looked nifty but like I said, I don't want to get stuck with a pile of spendy crap. I can be hard on rigs espcialy my crawlers.
