Default new pti

in the mail just bought it.. any input welcome. and any suggestions on what to do to it first. i was to do sliding shafts what you guys think. i am a newb to pti but i have built my own emaxx crawler before.....


It is a PTI GRC with a 12.5 stretch. It has a brand new Integy V11 Modified 85T motor, New Hitec HS-645MG servo, New Imex Redrocks on pede wheels, narrowed and weighted pede wheels with moabs and rock rings, LRP runner plus esc

I'd be interested to know how that 85T motor works out. I've always thought it might be a good way to go rather than using a gear-reduction. If you've built an Emaxx crawler, than you should have no trouble modding the Goliath to your liking. What's up with the weird body post location? Is it because the motor is in the way?

i have no clue this is my first pti and i dont know whats supposed to be where. you think it will be ok to crawl as is. or what else do i need to do before that.

Probably gonna need batteries and a radio Did you shim the diffs? May not need to if this is one of the new kits...

i have no clue like i said its in the mail on its way to me. haha but what does shimming the diff help with incase i need to can you send me a diy link.

OH I see, you bought THAT truck from someone else (they built it). You might want to put the body post in the stock locations. The body post in that location will hold you up in a tight squeeze.

sorry I can't post pics, but the body mounts would be less likely to hang up if they were vertical instead of horizontal
