| torn apart and reborn again
hi I have a Goliath + Extension kit for quite some time now, and I never was able to build it in a way, so that it functions satisfying. So I decided, to redo it as a simple basher. I ordered tc3-diffs and took some leftovers (ESC, servo, receiver) to make it meet my expecations. what I did: took 2 tc3 ball-diffs some buggy shocks axial wheels + wheel-hexes (they must get drilled a bit to fit the axle) some parts of the extension kit (lower link- and shock mount, upper link stand-offs) the links of the normal Goliath crawler kit side view: top view: axle detail (drilled through at 10 locations to make them more sturdy): articulation-shot: Rebuilding it elimnated all torque-twist, and I think it will work fine form me now. sincerly Tomancik Last edited by tomancik; 12-10-2008 at 10:18 PM. |

Did you put the tc3 spools in it, or just the new ball diffs? I have an older PTI, and I am looking for better performance out of mine too!

Hi I just installed the ball-diffs, as they come. I took the steel ones. They cost a bit more, but I think they are worth it. Only time will tell... sincerly Tomancik |
