| sweet build pti
OK i started out with a PTI 12 pro when i got it new in the box i see it has many flaws so i got right to work. Frist thing i did was replace some links to start with just the uper because im geting custom made bent lower links when doing this i see the stock rod ends are junk they are like a hard plastic can brake realy easy so im now changing over to traxxas rod ends. next came a new moter and esc i went all out and got the novak brushless goat system when that did not do the job i went with an HPI gear reduction unit I still have more parts in the mail like the rocker rims that are 1lb each and my chisel G8 tires ill up date with pics when get the rest of my parts |

| I ordered an input shaft and CV coupling set from PTI. I guess it got lost in the mail since it's been three weeks... Anyways I re-ordered it... I have my build ready to go but it's amazing how such a small peice of plastic can hold you back! Makes me go crazy! |

Very nicely done! I love it when the install looks as clean as it does. Question: Does the pro version come with locked diffs? Any chance they come with the metal gears? |

When I had my PTI I snapped an axle housing in half off a three foot drop. It wasn't even a full drop it tumbled down and somewere along the way it broke. But other then that it was a pretty nice crawler. I think the pro comes with the upgraded motor plate.

Im not sure what may have caused it but my guess is it happened when my esc was flaking out. I would guess during the time when it went reverse then forward out of nowhere??? I dunno... Anyways I have a Tazer 15t as a temporary until my brother sells me his rooster. Do you guys know of any dogbones other than PTI that will fit??? Also sorry to confuse I meant to say my dogbone snapped not my axle... LOL

Yes, I think it's HPI touring car that the PTI uses the same dogbones. Also team associated or MIP should have them. Take your dogbone in to your local hobby shop and ask them to try and match it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info guys. I will actualy try to match the part at a LHS. I kind of dont want to wait a week for dogbones... I tried it out with one dead axle and managed to climb this chair that I couldnt climb before the 12 extension kit. Happy with performace but I'll be damn if my dogbone snaps again...
