Too bad the TLT plastic that Tamiya uses sucks and the 'metal' is cheap a$$ pot metal that doesn't last long either...

I have a TLT and have had several Tamiya vehicles and their plastic is one of the major drawbacks of thier kits...breaks if ya look at it funny.

BTW, I almost bought a PTI Goliath...good job on upgrading your truck! Use what you have and making it better...nothing is perfect and sometimes you just have to try it and see how it really works.

to be honest thats the only problem i've had out of the parts that came with the kit and hopefuly the TC3 solid diff will correct that problem otherwise these axles are awesome they have a very slim profile unlike the tlt axles and i don't get it hung on obsticles

Something to keep in mind with the spools is that you may need to get shorter dogbones. I know for a fact that you need 'em with the Nitro TC3 steel spools but I'm not sure with the aluminum ones. If you need 'em, somebody posted them over at one18th.com.

You may run into similar problems with the aluminum outdrives on those diffs as well. You might want to look into the Associated steel spool: Associated TC3/TC4 Solid Front Axle. I've been running one in my TC4 and have not had any problems with it. And it was a direct replacement for the original plastic ones.

Too much for me to follow, maybe it's just late... Whatever works though.
