| PTI Goliath?
I wanted to purchase a smaller rock crawler, not necesarily a 1/18 scale but more of a 1/14 scale. I am looking at the TLT and PTI, I know they are both 1/18 but with a new chassis I would make them bigger. The PTI looks a lot better built and it looks like you don't need as many modifications to make it perform as well. I was wondering what you guys think? If I did get a TLT I would probably get a RD XL-4 chassis from RD 400.

If you get the PTI you're going to have to change your name!

I have had both trucks set up as crawlers and the PTI was a better truck for crawling. I know a lot of people will disagre with me but I like my PTI. I liked it so well I sold the TLT because I never used it I always use my PTI.

tlt is cheaper, you can build your crawler how you want, and there is hardly an issue for parts. PTI is a small company so their truck and parts are expensive. IMO, the pti is more for bashing and racing than crawling...but this hobby is about custom...not RTR. Both can be built into crawlers but I don't think I have seen any PTI on the comp results......
