I don't think so - they use TC3 gears.

it's become my opinion that it really sucks they are no available internal metal gears for the PTI axles. I'm shortly going to drop some TLT axles in place of my PTI's... i keep stripping the ring and pinion gear inside the gear case. |

That seems to be a deal-breaker for most people. Too bad, too - I kind like the PTI.

I was told by the guys at PTI that the gears are now made from Delrin. So I guess there are TC3 gears out there made of delrin, since PTI does not produce the gears themselves. But if you ask me, the material isn't what makes the gears slip. I'm thinking that the tolerances in the axle housing along with some flex in the housing are what's causing the slippage. The only difference that identically designed metal gears would have is that they'd be louder when they slipped.... |
