| Has anyone had any success getting slimmer tires for the pti? the tires included are way too wide (they hang up on the canti's in reverse) Not sure if slimmer tires are better for the rocks... |

| One thing that almost everyone does is narrow their rims (because slimmer tires ARE better for the rocks). How much you narrow them is up to you. I started out by just cutting off the inner bead of the rim, leaving the inside lip intact so you can glue the inner bead of the tire to that lip. If that doesn't solve your problem, you should consider wideners. Any widener made for the TLT will work on the Goliath. So you can use the Tobee Craft wideners, G-Made wideners, you can even use the blackfoot axles that some like to use. I use the G-Made wideners myself: http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/tires...s.html#adapter (gotta scroll down a bit) However, none of the wideners will work with the stock wheels, since they don't have a hex. If you use the blackfoot axles, you can get away with using the stock wheels. There's a sticky at the top of the TLT forum that pretty much covers all the widener options and should clarify everything. |
