Default PTI GRC Modification Options

These are my GRC modification ideas

Option 1:
Install a RC4WD R2 transmission, which would entail the following modifications:
-Widen the chassis to 70 mm about 2.75 in and build a new skid plate.
-Extend the wheelbase to 12.5 in.
-Because of the new chassis width, I’d have to move the mounting point of the lower control arms to the steering knuckle. Just like KB’s truck. This should improve lateral stability as well.
-The cantilever set-up was working well for me, so I thought I’d fabricate a bracket that would extend the chassis plate shock mounting points 1 inch. I’d also have to fabricate a bracket that would move the cantilever one inch in the same direction. It’s interesting, after widening the chassis the cantilever mounting points on the axle would line up with the inside of the cantilever. I’d have to trim the cross braces and move the body mounting posts. From what I’ve read on these forums, having the resistance from the suspension perpendicular to axle helps reduce torque twist. So, I thought I’d leave the cantilever set-up intact. It would be easy enough to ditch the cantilevers and set up the suspension the same way KB did.
-I’d also fabricate a bracket that would extend the mounting points for the control arms 1 inch in each direction, or just make a new chassis side plate.
-I should be able to use the same upper control arms, but it looks I will have to get longer arms for the lowers.
-I’d use T-max drive shafts.
-I plan on mounting the battery onto the front servo.

Option 2:
Use a 4:1 gear reduction unit and wait for the PTI 12.5 inch extension kit.

Option one would make the center of gravity so much lower, but the truck works pretty well the way it is. Any suggestions, thoughts, advice besides sell the truck and build a TLT ?
