What battery will fit in the stock GRC? I have heard that it requires a special battery, and that the standard 6 cell stick packs do not fit. If this is true, then what battery pack is recommended. Please do not suggest Lipo's, I do not have the set up for those. Thanks.

You could install a standard 6 cell pack on top of the servo (on the axle to get some more weight) with velcro? Or you can buy 2/3 size cells which should fit to the batteryarea. I haven't tried, but I think that'd work.

www.unitedrc.com sells three packs that are designed to fit in the stock location. Like Tomik said, using a smaller battery on the servo will lower the CG for better crawling.

This is not stock, but its real easy to do. Just mount the tranny backwards and extend the front plate out so the battery will lay flat. I did this so I counld use all them 6 cell battserys I have laying around. No since in having different batterys for all your toys And a thanks to drc323 for the idea ![]() Last edited by MudHead; 06-29-2007 at 02:55 PM.
