Default XXX-S converted to XXX-Rally

Well, I had been using my XXX-S brushless for drifting and it has gotten old so I decided to see if I could make it work for a rally car. I saw a web page where a guy had done this to one of his back a few years ago so I decided to give it a shot. Worse comes to worse I can just throw drift tires back on it again later. I still have to find some shocks to use but I got plenty of travel out of it. I would like to find some shocks that will let it sit close to normal while driving but will let the suspension extend like a real rally car does when it is airborn. I had to do alittle shaving on the front suspension to get the travel and nothing to the rear. Anyway, here are the picture of it so far.

Full Droop

Bottom Out

Any ideas on shocks to use? I am sure I will be able to compare them to the RS4 rally when it gets here but I am afraid it is going to be to stuff to do what I want it to do. I am probably going to need something longer with a pretty soft shock to be able to get it to ride like I want it to.

use very very soft springs, so it just supports the cars weight when on the ground, but extends with there is no weight on them, like in the air.

Well for the time being I took the stock shock and replaced the top body with those from a losi rally weapon. It gave me the ride height but not quite the travel I wanted. I am going to try to find some shocks that will work better or possibly just get longer shafts for these since there is more room in the body for travel.

id say since the stock shocks are like what 50mm or so? get some like 70ish mm ones and so when its on the groun they compress nearly all the way, but in the air go out.

Yea, I am going to give that a shot. Any idea of what RC has that length shocks? I am guessing a buggy of some kind.
