what you have is a nitro version of associated`s TC3 which was also used for rally EP based. if you cant find parts try 3R racing, yeah racing and you could check part numbers at associated site, link below contains info for what you got planned. http://www.rc10.com/ae/tc3/kittc3.htm |

Make your own mount out of some 1.5" aluminum angle. Pretty easy, did the same to my Super Nitro Rally. I'll post pics tomorrow |

Rally car huh? Damn you guys. I've got a brand new NTC3 roller that I was either going to sell or do a brushless conversion on. I've got a link on my computer at home where a guy did a brushless conversion. I'm missing a couple parts though, the spur gear/coupling doohickey thingamabob that connects the driveshaft to the rear dif. Was gonna buy a two speed assembly off of ebay but not sure if it would work or not. Now that I see this rally car thread, I just may have to keep it and go that route! Hope you don't mind if I copy.

Here is the other place I found talk of a brushless conversion. It shows a pic of another way to mount the motor, basically how Gula described. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?p=130991 |

Any updates on this? I'm still looking for shocks for mine and then need to make the motor mount. I've got some extra servo mounts from my SCX10 kit that I'm going to use to relocate the servo. I'm figuring my shocks need to be 65mm eye to eye to get full extension and I'll need to mod the front upper arms so they don't hit the output at full extension too, nothing major. I do have tires and wheels though! Oh yeah, and I need to find a pinion too. What pitch is the stock NTC3 gears? And what pinion are you guys using? Last edited by Sydwaiz; 06-04-2009 at 01:29 PM. |
