| DF03ra rally cars in action
Was able to get some video of these things in action. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how durable they are. I didn't think they would be able to hold up to what we dished out, but they kept coming back form more. The only casualty being a rear diff that came loose. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAVi3p_gbw Also got some 8th scale fun in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOXXO8XR954 And a few outtakes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghyXdflidnw |

Sweet Video I just bought and built a DF-03ra as well. Can you tell me where that video was taken? I live in Fremont and it looks like a sweet spot! Looks like maybe Foster city?

Thanks! Yeah, that's in Foster City at Shells. There are some very large jumps out there that I would stay away from, but otherwise a very fun RC playground when the BMX kids aren't all over the place.

Thanks guys, we are heading back out there tomorrow after work. Will get some more video. Grmp, if you can make it maybe we will see you out there. I'll be there from 5-6:30 or 7. Skunk, be careful with the 5700kv motor (esp on 3s). I had that set up in and was melting rear diff gears. I'm now at 3500kv on 3s with the slowest gearing I could put on it. Lots of torque and just enough speed. The transmission can handle the torque, just not the extreme speed. |

I've since swapped that combo into my cup racer and now that thing is a missile!!! I've got the EPAs dialed down to 65%, anything higher and it's a handful! | |

| I think we are wayyy behind when it comes to RC rally racing. The Europeans have been at it for a few years now. A simple search on YouTube yielded this: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...=rc+rally&aq=f The rally scene here seems to be gaining interest, but I doubt it will really take off. If you are in to WRC, this is as good as it gets for RC. |
