The first race of the Colorado Rally Championship is this saturday. Just about ready to go. I have so many projects I am working on all at the same time, but I do have a couple updates coming this week. |

I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I did put full sway bars in this, it is in desperate need of a shock rebuild as well. I also learned from my good friend Rodney that the stock servo saver strips out over time, so I picked up a metal servo horn for the servo. Im going to try to take care of all this tomorrow and snap a few pictures as well.

Drivers! Well one for now, the co drivers head is currently missing. The drivers are attached to the underbody, the bodies are from team blue groove and the heads are vintage rally drivers. |

Looks awesome, I just picked one up. Cant wait for it to get here. Which swaay bar kit are you guys using? is the metal motor mount a must do? I have a spare novak sport brushless esc lying around, what mnotor do you reccomend? 18.s or 21.5 on 2s lipo |

The metal motor mount in my book is a must do. Especially with a high power motor. One of the guys locally did not get the mount and cooked to spur gears pretty quickly. Everyone else with the mount has not had any issues yet. Depending where and how you drive will determine what kind of motor you are running, but either would work, it just depends if you need that little extra kick of the 18.5 or you rather have a little more torque of the 21.5. I have never used either motor myself, so I'm not exactly sure how big the difference is between the two motors. I would start with the 18.5 with stock gearing and see if you like it and what your motor temperatures are at after 10 and 20 minutes. If it seems to be getting hot try the 21.5. Then you could always gear up the 21.5 a little to try and get a little more speed out of it and hopefully keep those motor temperatures down. Good luck let us know how it goes.

How is that CC 5700 motor working out for you? I just bought a TB-01 from C*H*U*D last night and need to get a motor and speed control for it. I am looking at getting a Sidewinder V2 and 5700 motor combo. |

I like the 5700, but it is pretty punchy, if I had to do it again I would go with the 4600KV motor instead, RPMJ has that motor in his and his car feels really good all the way through the power range, plus I have never once needed half the power I have. On top of that every time I let someone "test drive" my car they always ask "How the hell do you drive this thing?"

My old body is toast so I had to paint up my last Tamiya 2004 Subaru Impreza STI. After this I have to move on to a different year of Impreza. |
