Rodney and I cranked out some decal work and we both got the Castle Creations Mamba max pro ESC and 2400kv motors in. Rodney had a few issues with his Tekin system so we both went Castle. The combo works great in these cars, tons of torque on 3 cell lipo and they are silly fast.

Currently we are both running 7k in the front diff, 10k in the center diff and 10k in the rear diff. It seems to work well, but I am going to play with a few different weights of oil and see if I can really tune it in for my style of driving and the tight track conditions we race on.

Got both Fiestas all decaled up!

Got a few upgrades as well that will be going on. Should have a few more updates through the week.

Ive got a DBX with a blown nitro, thanks . Now i know what to do with it.

DO you think a 540 brushless would push it along ok?

Sweet!!, just keep cranking out that information so I only have to build mine once... I checked the temp and I think mine is ready to come out of hibernation (aka the box)

I got another pair of shocks coming too, should have picked up a DBX body to try out as I already have the sides guards. Oh well, I'm sure I will be ordering something else this week.

They're looking good Ty!!

The video that I posted is using a 2 cell lipo, mamba max and a traxxas 540 can VXL motor. It worked and stayed pretty cool, but it had no torque at all. Maybe if you geared way down it would be better, but it already was lacking a bit in the top end.

Im not sure, I think they are around 2.2 wheels, they do not have an outer bead surface to the wheel so they look a little smaller. I will try to measure them later.

Hell YES!!! The body is too good looking not to get it.

So a little update:

The one problem I have had with the DRX so far is the body, it might as well be made of glass.

Chunks of the body were laying on the track after I hit a jump and landed on all 4s.

This was all from today, the front end damage was from a collision with Rodney's DRX, his was unharmed though. Rodney also added half a bottle of Shoe Goo to the inside of his body. So that is the plan for the next body and to try and put this one back together enough to use as a practice body.

Car drove great today besides the body exploding.

Oh these also really need an underbody. The DRX is getting a complete tear down this week and a underbody of some type HAS to go on.

I cannot see your pictures, so sorry if this is a dumb question. Is what you have the 1st version or the V2?

I looked at them briefly on ebay and there's a significant price difference between the two. Wonder what actual differences there are.

You can not see any of them? They are just Jpeg images hosted by photobucket. Try updating your browser or maybe photobucket is blocked.
Can everyone else see the images?

Not really such thing as a Version 1 and 2 persay. But these are the newer ones that came with the 2.4GHZ radio. They were really cheap though compared to what you see them for on Ebay. 325.00 each shipped. Ebay is a rip off when it comes to a complete DRX, there are reliable hobby stores online that stock the car for a reasonable price.

Looks like the typical rally carnage I've seen on the full-size rigs.

That must have been what they were aiming for with the body. Ripped to pieces just like the real thing.

Glad we got you to bite the bullet Nate.

Infernosonly.com had two of them in stock last week... I ordered both of them for these two rigs.
Infernosonly goes through there stock fast, but they are getting stuff in all the time, just keep checking their site.

Kyosho America had some when I checked earlier today. You have to search it by Subaru, searching by DRX doesn't pull the bodies up... Except that sexy Lancia.

That dirt on there was like concrete. I had to scrap it off with an X acto knife. Got it torn down, cleaned and put back together today with all the fancy parts.

Thanks for the measurements. I think my local shop has one of those bodies.

I don't believe you actually drove it though.

Yeah it does, now if they only sold individual body panels I would be set.

Must have been hopefully the next body holds together better.

Do you think cold temperatures were involved with the body damage? Only time I've seen lexan crack like that was when it was pretty cold out.

(Do want Stratos body!)
