Hey OSRC,

I was wondering what parts did you use for the driveline on your RS4 electric conversion? I am currently in the middle of doing the same to mine and i am unsure of how to continue.

What about the cc01 Pajero Rally car? Wonder if it would be good as a Dakar style car.

Holy old thread! Weird that some of the Photobucket pics are still here, they deleted my account at some point.

Not bad. I've experimented with a "go fast" CC01. With the stock motor it's a bit tippy, but very driveable. The stock tires don't have much traction, but that comes in handy when going fast as a bit of slide keeps it from rolling.

I've run a 3800 brushless as well in the low ride Pajero. The super wide tires helped, but the steering couldn't keep up and it was barrel roll city anytime I tried to make a turn at speed on any surface that had grip.

Sounds cool I wouldn't want it to go more than 'scale' fast anyway. I agree with the tires. If they're not too grippy and the ground being a bit loose.. sandy or whatever, it should look a bit realistic, Dakar style... I think.
I think that's the way to go with my cc01, because it doesn't have many other uses.

As a trail truck it cannot compare to newer models from other brands. If it could be easily geared down a lot, it would be more interesting.
