Hey Ty, now that you have the new XV-01 do you still feel this way?

I just got a new, faster Savox servo for my DF in the mail today (gettin ready!!), but I feel eventually a new car is on the horizon. I really have my eye on the XV.

Well the Rally Legends car was 350.00 out of the box RTR with a ton of cool lights, just the XV-01 kit cost me over 250.00, add electronics, paint and a bunch of time putting it together and you have a pretty good investment.

The XV-01 is the best driving 10th scale rally car I have ever driven. I was hanging with (and passing ) Rodney and Paul today down at HOON470 , the XV-01 vs. two DRXs. Its the smoothest drivetrain (and now) and best suspension car I have and probably will have for quite some time. The rally Legends car, drives similar to my TB-01, which I thought was fantastic (and still is in its own way), but frankly the XV-01 is 10 fold better. I feel it is even better then the modified XXX-S cars, which feels like a DF03RA after driving the XV-01. Basically I am saying if you have the money I would vote for the XV-01 every time.

But if you are on a budget, want something that looks amazing, drives pretty well and has a slew of hop up parts get the Rally Legends car.

But if you have some rally experience, race the car and need all the help you can get the XV-01 is for you.

I concur with turtle...the xv-01 is really an awesome car!

Out of the box it drives very well, but one thing did bug me a bit..that was the lack of droop.
In order to fix that to my liking, I did modify the front suspension quite a bit and now with the suspension fully jacked up I have around 28mm all around.

Normal ride height is 18-20mm so I got plenty of droop now

I have a thread over at Tamyaclub.com, if you want to check out my mods.
