So are the DRX and the WR8 supposed to be the same scale?

By the numbers on the box the DRX is supposed to be smaller.

Kyosho says the DRX is 9th scale.

HPI says the WR8 is 8th scale.

The DRX though measures out too 7th scale...

I have not check the WR8 yet.

Very cool Rodney! So out of the three sizes so far, have you and Ty found a preference? I like the DRX but it's kind of big. Sometimes the 1/10th cars feel a bit small, so I've really been interested in the WR8.

Personally the DRX is probably my favorite but I haven't drove the WR8 in the dirt yet.

When the weather sucks we use the warehouse where I work.

How good are the stock tires? Do they provide actual grip, or are they more for sliding around?

On wet tarmac they were okay... I will try them on the dry tarmac and let you know.

I think I really like this one..

The size of the DRX is charming to me, but I think this is more usable for me in the area I live.

Might as well do it. I was very surprised at how well this car drove. Though... it still hasn't seen the dirt.

So the 2nd from right is an atomic body? Would that fit on a Traxxas 1/16 revo? I'm considering converting my MERV VXL into a rally car...

cheers,
T

I don't think so. I believe the Atomik is classified as a 18th scale car, not 16th scale.

Thanks Turtle! You are correct, it is a 1/18th scale. Looks like a proline body may be in my future.

Cheers,
T

So what's the verdict?

Looks like those tires need belts
