Default RPMJ's Ken Block WR8

Well after waiting for months I finally received my WR8. The first thing I did was to switch to my 4pl radio. It is considerably smaller than my DRX. I drove it today at the warehouse and on the tarmac parking lot. (The true test will be in the dirt) This thing is fast and very stable. The graphics are awesome...

One flaw I noticed was the stock servo is very slow. I will switch it to a Savox 1258tg. I also need to open up the diffs and add oil.

Turtle shot show photos and will post them soon.
Thanks Turtle.

does it sit that high from the box? Front wheel gap looks large...if you could, could you have Turtle take some comparison pics for size? Sold my Ken Block Traxxas, and want another one.

Yeah that is stock ride height, I agree it sits a little high in the front, but it is an easy fix.

I shot some comparision photos between this car and the Kyosho DRX a little while ago, they are in the HOONIGAN DRX thread.

Also Basic mods was with us today and I believe he got some photos of the fleet of cars we had out today.

Probably a basic adjusment in the body mounts??

This car, being more of a Gymkhana 'on road' rally car, how do you think it's bashability compares to that of say, the DRX? Would the available ground clearance allow it to bash off road as effectively?

All it needs is to go one hole down on the front body mounts. I think its every bit as tough as the DRX. I don't think it would have any problems keeping up with my DRX on a dirt track.

Nice looking car.

I was checking out a 15 minute Youtube unboxing of the WR8. It looks like it has some features the DRX does not have and doesn't have some of the DRX features.

The tires look really soft.

I really like the Ken Block body and the DC wheels. Your car looks awsome RPMJ . However after looking at the the beautiful array of rally cars. It's clear that the DRX and WR8 are classified incorrectly. XV-01, WR8, DRX. Small, medium, large.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of 1\16. Although I have 5 1\16 slashes(family backyard racing). Was just saying, That it's clear the DRX and WR8 are not in the same class as we were all hoping. Just as the XV-01 and the WR8 are not in the same class.
