I would be careful with the factory default settings on the Orion ESC. I am also running that ESC but had to change some of the settings for safey. Here are the stock settings. The chart can be found on page 20 in the manual. 1. Forward/Reverse with Brake 2. Drag Brake Force 5% 3. Low Voltage Cut-Off Threshold 2.6V/Cell 4. Start Mode (Punch) Level 3 5. Max Brake Force 75% If you are running lipos I recommend changing #3 to at least 3.2V/Cell or higher. 3.0 Volts per cell is the lowest you want them to drop to. But for the chance that some may be unbalanced and lower than the others, your cut-off voltage should be 3.2 at the lowest. You can find instructions for adjusting the ESC from page 20-22 in the manual. I agree it's not the easiest manual to read but it's not too difficult. I've been using this Orion setup and it's been working fine so far on 3S. Hope that helps. |

If anyone is having trouble with the manual included try the one direct from Orion. It is easier to understand. Controllers :: Brushless Controllers :: 1/10 Sensorless :: Vortex R10 Sport Brushless ESC (45A, 2-3) - Team Orion |
