Default Ken Block Rally Car by HPI

Oh, what is it? Anything in the bag?
I see its Bigger than the Traxxas 1/16

It way better Built than the RE-badged Traxxas Slash.

This Thing on 3s is a beast...! well over 50mph outta the box. They say 60MPH running a 19T Pinion..
The 4000kv motor didnt even get hot after the first 3s..I drove it hard too. The motor is closer to a 550 size than 540.
The Flat Pan chassis makes this thing handle well. Tires are super sticky too. Best part is, Its HEAVY weight makes it stick....As a drifter, I got it to S..L..I..D..E with momentum and not throttle...
Its a keeper... I see why Traxxas didnt get the Block Licensing this year. Its a much better build than a Re-badged and Aged Slash 4x4..

Thanks for the post. Had the traxxas one and sold it quickly. Heavy with good sticking would be fun.

Tires are the biggest problem right now. I have a set of their 1.9 off-road tires, and they're pretty good. Same tires that come on the nitro version stock. Only problem is you have to buy the 1.9 wheels cause the stock wheels are 2.2. Tower is out of stock, and A-Main has tires, but no wheels in stock.

Im enjoying it plenty.. I added some more tweaks and changed the center diff fluid to 500 k to blast outta the corners. Put 60 wt in the shocks and its rippin thru corners on the street... Way better than stock !

I also balanced the wheels....eventhough they were not bad. They needed justa sliver of weight.

I'm looking into getting one of these, do you think the stock tires are decent? The shock covers are a really nice touch!

The Tires are now available thru Tower and some on E-bay but they are only the WR8 style. Tramac D Compound. Super sticky..But the wheels are only available as a set of RALLY style. Not my exact favorite so, I found these: HPI 3036 from HPI Super Nitro...57x35mm

Same size wheel and doesnt look too bad.

Brahma wheels may fit too, do not try the duratrax 5 spoke white ones off of a buggy they used to make. The hex on those is slightly bigger than 12mm

Yeah, I found another set of 4 from a guy in Europe that was made for a HPI knock off car and they looked good. But, I hate to wait so I went with Tower....
