Easy trick if you have tons of small decals to cut out and apply use sharp blade cut as close as u can around the decal. Then peel it off the paper with the tip of the blade and lightly punch it while spraying winded on the back of the decal. Return to the body after its painted and the clear sheet removed spray the winded liberally around the area where the decal is going to go.

Lay the decal down with the tip of the blade and use ur finger to adjust it in place. Let it sit for 2-3 min and take a hair dryer on low setting and dry lightly back and forth. Holding too long in one area will crinkle the decal.

Ten lightly blot the decal once almost dry without moving it out of position.

Let sit overnight and ur done!

I'm running mine on the stock can and I really like it, it's not the fastest setup but still very fun. Mind you I do have a brushless combo(3000kv) for it, but before I put that in I'll switch to a 19t brushed motor first and see how that goes.

Dualdigger,

Going w/ the stock motor for now,
I'm looking at a CC Mamba Max Pro ESC, It'll handle all motors, Brushed, B/L(sensored and senseless)
All batteries, niMh, lipo, etc.

I figure this ESC will grow w/ my abilites. At 129.00, It better.

i'm going to run a Spektrum DX6i(yeah, I know) w/ AR6700 Rx until I can justify a pistol-style radio

I'm planning on picking up the slipper clutch when I upgrade to B/L.
Should I pick one up anyway?
Thinking of long term wear on the gears...

Sorry to here that it might be different if you just order the body vs. the body that comes with the kit. I actually had fun putting mine together. I purchased the HPI ford Focus WRC body and had to cut out each piece, not fun. and the stickers didnt line up that great either

You can't go wrong with a Mamba max. I would recommend the slipper, then you got it when the cheap pinion eats the spur gear. lol. The stock spur is metric, switching to the slipper allows you to use the more common 48pitch pinions.

Sounds awesome, Basicmods, but I'm working...

I'll try to get to the races when my car is finished.
I'm still looking for the electronics for my car, heading to Colpar tomorrow to get ESC, servo, and paint.
Been thinking a 1/10 Mamba Max Pro for the ESC, but as I look into the deep, deep dark hole that is my wallet, going a little more inexpensive to get started.

Good Luck, I may pop by the Soda Lakes to meet y'all!

So, Electonics installed, body painted, about 60 % of the decals are on, I don't want to become alcoholic over stickers...

I LOVE this car!!!

I'm still learning how to drive it, but wow, does this thing move
As soon as I can figure out where the pic of my car is on the web, I'll post

Ended up w/ a Tazer 38A ESC, a Duratrax 6 cell 5000mAh NiMH,
using my DX6i for now...

As far as maintenance goes, I get the gravel/dust/sand out after every run, And check all linkages. I've only put about 4 packs through the car so far, what should I be doing for bearings, lube, general after-a-couple-of-runs stuff?

I would just run it and not worry about the bearings too much. Lubing the bearings will just attract dust and sand, unless you actually pull them out and properly lube which is more effort then its worth. Once you start to have bearing issues upgrade to rubber sealed bearings, which can be head for around 10.00 on ebay.

Thanks, Turtle,

I just got back from a suspension tuning run, added a large shim to the back, and a small shim in front (on top of the medium shims they recommend)to stiffen the suspension, and what a difference!

BTW, Here's the pic, be kind, my first car body paint job.
How do you keep the 9000 decals from peeling?
