So I'm working om my 4wd drive car... Here it is naked, next to my new front wheel drive car. I still haven't run this JipoCar body yet. I'm saving it for the upcoming season.  Rebuilding the rear end. Mostly new parts going in.  Setting up the arms. I shimmed all of the hinge pins, etc. Everything was really loose. Now it's actually a little too snug, but it will break in a bit.  Back together with the long damper rear tower.  A new, properly spaced belt tension thingy.  New rear end.  Goofy 80mm shocks. I started pulling apart the front end and found this...  The idler gear on the left has a year's worth of use on it, and it looks pretty worn out. The one on the right has been used but is in much better shape.  changed the pistons out in the front shocks... These are the front twin hammers shocks from vaterra. Gorilla tape is a good option for sealing the underside of the front end. It's tougher than you think, especially if you hit it with a heat gun. And it's easy to slap another piece on if it tears.  |

Getting ready for the first CRC race of the year. The first event is this Sunday and it's on some dirty tarmac. I put in lighter diffs and went with freshly rebuild stock xv-01 shocks. Ready for race 2 @ hoon. deerhammer body on the group b car. crc 2015 decals 10kish front diff fresh 5k rear diff 80mm rear shocks 65mm front shocks sitting pretty tall.  Last edited by bvrc; 10-24-2014 at 08:40 PM. |

Finally retired my front alloy control arms. Overall they were great, they've just become worn out like any part would with serious abuse...   |
