Tamiya makes Long Damper shock towers and CVA dampers specifically for the XV-01.

Turtle is using the long damper and wrote it quite a while ago within the thread.

Turtle's Modified XV-01

Can't say what page it is but I would say it should be "in the middle".

You can use any 75mm shocks with Tamiya Long Damper stays (Tamiya, Gmade, TA, TD, Kyosho, ...). If you want to learn more about Gmades and TA, check my build thread here.

Yes. Originals are I believe 61mm, so 62 should be fine.

BTW, RCMart has plenty of the long damper stays is stock:
for Tamiya XV01 #54581, ,(54581) by Tamiya Carbon Long Damper Stay Front
for XV-01 #54582, ,(54582) by Tamiya Carbon Long Damper Stay Rear

Thank you that makes things much easier. Is Rcmart a good company to buy from?

How long does it usually take to get what you order? Is ot 7-10 days or almost 30?

It varies. International mail is crated before shipment, and the crate doesn't move until it's full. (loading a cargo airplane with individual pieces of mail would be unbelievably tedious and expensive.) Sometimes it takes a week to get something from Hong Kong, sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks.

I know this is an old thread, but it's still relevant. I've got the first part of the list with essential upgrades after learning the hard way that you need the suspension mounts...

My suggestion: I would add another TURTLE upgrade to this list: the Kimbrough Servo Saver. The original that comes in the box is pretty poor - I could not align the wheels of my car to have it go straight, the stiffness of the Tamiya servo saver made it stick in all different angles. After I found TURTLE's suggestion of installing the Kimbrough, it solved all this.

The Tamiya TRF servo saver works much better than the included servo saver, and is smaller than the Kimbrough servo saver. I've heard the XRAY servo saver is the best of them all, but I've never tried it myself.
