We mostly max out the gearing to 55/28 and never encountered any problem whatsoever. We run on tarmac, but I don't expect the ESC to have any difficulty running rally.

So I drove her today, not disappointed...
Enough speed, for me anyway, push under breaking, oversteer under throttle, dirty parking lot was fun...
Carnage...
I rolled it and scratched a sticker, and hit a pole and cracked the body...

Had a blast, first time ever driving a on road car, so def a new experience.
The skid is made from 22ga steel, shaped and drilled by hand.

lonelycreeper do you recommend doing the body reinforcement prior to driving the Escort? How did you reinforce it?
Thanks

Thanks, wouldn't have thought about the fiberglass drywall tape. Where did you purchase the Escort?

I ran with a drift club tonight... Had a lot of fun, it ended up as a bash fest as these things often do...
A pic of a sample of cars...

Actually yes more damage, left rear corner cracked, right front fender tore, and popped a hole in the front bumper... Not all bon considering the head on colision, and various other hits I took. Repairs were made this morning.
I went to the LHS today and picked up a basher body for $20. It is a 56 Chevy pickup, by Parma. Hpi rims shown...

Thinking 2 tone paint, white or off white for the top and candy red for the bottom.
Maybe candy red on top and white on bottom, or?...

Have you used candy spray before? Does it actually show a good candy shading/color? I like the white top, red body.
