Default Got a Drx VE!!

Okay so after being away from RC's for about a year, and after seeing this baby at the LHS, let's just say this is the one that's slowly getting me back into it!!

Okay now for needed upgrades... I see that the chassis tends to get really messy..

I also see people using side guards and an mp9 body to fix that problem, are there any others that I need to install that? Like any hardwares like screws and etc? Or do the necessary parts come with it already?

Thanks guys! I love this RC!

Got me some mp9 side guards and body, as well as some extra stub axles, spider gears and cross pins on the way! Ooh and also installed the castle 3800kv motor for that extra power

Im only planning to run 2s for this one.

Stock speed: 24mph (fresh lipos)
3800KV: 28 mph (battery was about to die)

I will try and do another speed test tommorow with newly charged lipos!

To be honest, the stock power is great on this car. Looks very realistic and the full power slides look very very cool on this car. The only reason I got the castle is it was on sale at a hobby shop. Bought it for my sc10 4x4 that I'm rebuilding and thought I should try it on here. Anyways the truck is great and lots of fun!

But like you, I am on the opposite end, I have been wanting to try a wr8 for quite sometime and was about to get one for my little brother lol but all he wants is short course!! XS

Nice! The DRX really looks great.

I have the same motor (I'm running a mmp with it though) in my WR8 and it just rips! The torque at any speed is massive and grin inducing.

What are you running for gearing with it? Is the DRX within the weight range to run 3s with the combo? IIRC I think it is safe around the 5-6lb range with mid range gearing.

The 3800 really is a whole another beast on 3s... If it can handle it I'd suggest giving it a whirl, even if it is for just one pack.

Hmm right now she's sitting at 5.5lbs wet weight. I'd try my 3s but its too big for the battery holder lol. Besides I love the car for how it is now and if I want a few more speed I can always gear up since the motor runs pretty cool with the stock set up. But who knows maybe I'll do it one day xD

Very cool! I have a demon that was nitro that I converted to brushless with this motor aswell, I think I am running a 17 tooth on 3s, does 80kph and wheelspins all the way up there. I am running a Hobbywing wpsc8 though. Lots of fun.
