Rallye in Las Vegas

I'm starting this thread to see if there is any interest in starting up a Rallye meet here in Las Vegas. There is plenty of land and space here to start Rallye. There are also a few off-road tracks and if enough of us show up with Rallye cars, I am sure we can convince them to give us some track time. So let the discussion begin

You should really get a Facebook page, 90% of our CRC photos, chat and videos are posted there. Plus all the different for sale groups and common interest groups.

Live in Vegas would be very interested in Rallying in Vegas. I see the post has been up for a while but let me know if any one is racing.

I'm still interested / looking. Do you attend any of the local tracks? Maybe we can get a class going at one of the off-road tracks for starters

Haven't gone to any local tracks just one which is a public track in the east side of town. The track is nice but the jumps are made for buggies and truggies. Yeah it would be great to get a class and maybe stir some interest in people.

I just saw on the RCTech forum a race club in Vegas that are will to start any class if there is enough people to have a race. Here is their email I am going to try to contact them and see what kinds of classes they have and if has been any interest in rally racing.

Tomorrow night at Hobby Town off of Sahara and Decatur there is a parking lot race. I usually attend and race my TC.

Unfortunately I can't make it tomorrow night, but I usually attend.

I've contemplated getting a rally race going there, it will be strictly in Tarmac but we could set rules for using only a certain tyre, motor etc.

What scale car do you run? I use the 1/10 XV01 Pro

I have the regular XV-01 with some hop ups. I am running a CC mamba max with the 4700kv motor.

In two weeks from today, we could meet up at Hobby Town with our XV01 and stock rally block tyres and get a rallye race going.

Any motor goes, since those tyres will limit our traction. Then from there we can get a conversation going.. I'm sure others have cars older cars they can use in a rallye class

Ill have to check my schedule. I work in the entertainment industry here in town but that sound good to me. I have an old set of rally block tires that I don't mind using on tarmac. I probably need some practice since it has been awhile since I raced on a course. What times are the races at Hobby Town. As soon as I get a schedule I will let you know if I can make it.

No worries it's about fun and the scale rallye bodies!

The they set up track at 6pm and racing starts usually around 7:30-8 and runs until 11:30 pm depending on how many classes there are.

I was think of going to Home Depot and buying a patch of fake grass / turf that we could drop on the track so we have different surfaces lol
