Default Affordable Rally Shells?

Hey guys. I just picked up a TC4 I am going to convert to a rally car.

I can't seem to find affordable rally bodies for it. Most of what I am finding is really low slung, obviously meant for a touring car. What are a couple of options floating around that won't break the bank? Thanks!

Try team blue Groove! They make rc bodies that are older discontinued company out of businesses. I've gotten a few vintage kyosho blizzard bodies from him and no complaints. Easiest place to find his stuff is e bay. If you don't see the body you need message him he hast a vast array.

Depends what you consider breaking the bank....You can get a nice Tamiya Rally body at 190mm for around $50 after shipping. I like the TQ website, they carry a lot of tamiya stuff and are based in Cali. RC TRACK TQ RC RACING & Hobby Shop in Chino, California TQ Raceway

The Tamiya Lancer, Subarus, Golf, and a few others are the rally bodies that will sit a little higher.

Just get a touring car body, paint it up like a Rally and make some mud flaps for it.

Convert it!

I'm turning my thunder tiger sparrowhawk into a rally. It's been hell finding the right size Rally tires to work with the chassis. I have some on the way but not sure how they will fit until I get them.

more like weird question is weird...

What do you mean by "won't break the bank"? Any given body will cost between $30-$60... The reason rally is awesome is partly due to the abundance of bodies. Any brand, any body. The options are almost endless but bodies do cost money...

Look for standard 257mm - 260mm wb and 190 - 200mm width.

Check out all the various thread here. Almost any body you see will work on your tc4.

Thanks guys, I am thinking about the the Tamiya 240z rally body since it seems to have a good amount of ground clearance in the front. That and I have a thing for vintage Japanese sports cars.

And sorry if my question was odd, this is my first touring car. I don't really know where to get bodies. And what I was finding would get torn up in the front if used on a rally car. The only rally specific shells I was finding were $100. I have since found a few that will work for $20-50.

EDIT: The 240z rally body has a wheelbase of 251mm,while the TC4 is listed as 259mm. How close can I get if I move all the shims on the TC4 to the narrowest position?

There are a couple of HPI Subaru rally shells you can still get for under $25.
