I got my Yeah Racing CVD's and there pretty nice, and I also filled it the front of the diff case with Apoxie Sculpt

And made a aluminum plate to keep the U shaped King Pin that's holds the swing arms in place, It needs painted cause the Sharpie is ugly

I needed to make the holder cause with the stock front bumper on the chassis it, lifts the front of the Sand Scorcher body up to high in the front

Now the pin will stay in and it clears the body, so the body drops all the way down

I just ordered a new set of G-Made 13mm wheel wideners, cause the 11mm ones are for a Mini Revo and I used my Dremel and widened the slot for a bigger axle pins

Now there is slop and wobble even if the wheels are tight, the 13mm ones have the right size slot cut into them and should be tight and not sloppy like the ones I modified

13MM is the shortest cheap ones I could find, RC4WD makes a set of 12mm but not paying over $30 even with free shipping, my new 13MM ones were less than half of the 12mm ones, shows your just paying for the name

Cause the G-Made ones are just as good as the RC4WD ones, its the label and name not paying for the label and name

A little Bling, Bling goes with everything, I also shoved 18.5 Turn 380 Brushless motor with a Novak Micro Pro Sensored brushless ESC

Into my RC18T this thing should rip, I was going to try and sell it, it will bring a little more money with the brushed setup and the brushless setup

Sold it for $125 it went fast

I'm not sure how to layout and mark the body mounting holes, in the Sand Scorcher body, cause I don't want to drill the holes in the wrong spots, I need longer front stock body mounts to lift the front a little,

Was able too use spacers to move the body mounts in the rear, so the body mounts would go up thru the roof and not in the back under the window and above the license plate light bezel, like I seen other people have done

I also got this New Bright, Dodge Ram Truck body, that I had to completely cut out rear bed out and had to make a Tonneau Cover to cover the bed and mount the rear of the body

Need to figure out how attach the cover to the truck body, it really doesn't look that bad, it needs re-painted maybe I will use both bodies

Not sure which body to use the Sand Scorcher Bug body or the Dodge Truck body, the Sand Scorcher body, I can drop to the ground if I wanted too, I can't drop the Dodge Truck to the ground with out opening up the wheel wells to drop the body down

Not sure which one to pick and not sure how to be able to use both bodies, I would have to change rear body mounts every time I changed bodies, I have been looking at different Tamiya body mounts and found some TA03

ones that might work with bug body with out the spacers, cause they move around to much for my liking, the truck body might be better cause I don't need spacers for the rear body mounts, so they shouldn't move around

What do you guys think, which body due you like better ??

I also got this Nikko Toyota body with a Blown engine, but its not wide enough and does not sit evenly on the chassis and the bottom of the blown motor is hitting on the front shock tower so its hard to the body centered in the wheels wells,

The bed out also need cut out and would not be able to drop the body cause the body is not wide enough and would be a pain in the ass every time to change batteries

The Sand Scorcher and the Dodge truck are wider bodies and drop onto the chassis easily and center up in the wheel wells with no problems

I have been researching for a reasonable priced 1/10th scale Rally car, and reads about the TT02 and how the wheelbase is adjustable to give you a 257mm or 251mm wheelbase

You can have low or high ground clearance and standard or wide tread setup

And in the Rally version, you can get the Subaru Impreza Monte Carlo 99 or the Lancer Delta Integrale bodies, I'm leaning towards the Impreza version

I'm going to try and sell a RC18T with both brushed and brushless setup and a Arrama Vortex Stadium Truck with lots of new extra parts

Before I pull the trigger on the TT02 Rally

I used Apoxie Sculpt to attach the Tonneau Cover permently and it looks pretty good for not knowing how it was going to come out

Going to mount the Fuel Cell, I made and the 2 Nitrous Bottles and I have this blown motor that is closer in scale to the Dodge Ram then it is with 1/10 Crawlers

Need to measure out the hood and center up the motor and cut a opening just big enough for the motor too drop thru, cause I don't think there is room for it underneath

I Cut out the grill, too add air flow and add a little customization and used the Aluminum mesh, the mesh and grill need painted

Don't do a lot of Customizing, but when I do, I can make some sick shit too

I got my bearing kit and this thing is so smooth and the drag on the driveline is gone, and rolls nicely, the new aluminum motor mount, works good with my Castle brushless motor

Ordered the TA01 center shaft and its too long, I need to send to it back and get the TA02 center driveshaft

And it took me a minute to realize there was a 24 tooth pinion on the motor, the biggest pinion, the TA02 can use is a 21 pinion

That explains why the gears would not mesh correctly and just didn't feel right too me

Good thing I doubled checked before putting power too it and stripped the spur gear

Just need the TS02 center shaft and a set of body mounts so I can mount the Dodge Ram truck body

I was able to use my Dremel and removed some ribs and was able to get my 5000 MAH 2S Lipo's to fit in the battery tray on the TA02 Chassis

Also made a battery holder to hold the battery in the chassis, I need to come up with away to keep the motor wires and battery wires low to the chassis

So the wires are flat on the chassis and clear the Dodge truck body

Its getting there, I need to figure out, what to do with extra wire length for the wires for the ESC and Steering Servo

Its going to crowded but should be ok

I bought a set of TA03 body posts to use with the Dodge Ram body and maybe the Sand Scorcher body later on

Also bought a new Spur gear and a new 21 tooth pinion, cause the spur gear I got now is 3 teeth off of normal stock spur gear

And there is a 24 tooth pinion, 21 tooth is the largest the motor ring says to use, so some body else put different gears in it

And I bought another set of tires and wheels

Changed my mind and going to keep it simple, and use a Axial 20 turn brushed motor and a Axial AE2 ESC, maybe later on I will use the Brushless setup of the Axial Castle 2900KV motor and AE3 ESC

Going to use the Brushed setup and get a feel for the car, before I go brushless

I went overkill on the Etch less primer but I can use a scotch Brite pad and knock it down

I like how the grill is going to look once I pick a color

I read online that if, I use TA01 rear swing arms and flip them, I should get a 250mm wheelbase that the Sand Scorcher body needs

Made a front single body mount using the stock body mount hole in the body, but not sure if the body is in the right place wheelbase wise, until I get my TA01 swing arms this week

And I had to order a set of TA02 front body posts cause the front shock tower is tipped and all of the body mounts I have end up tipped and won't work

The right body posts would be straight up and down and I use 2 to keep the body from shifting, cause the single post is not tight enough an moves around

I'm thinking if I could make a rear deck for the back window, so I can mount 2 body posts too keep the rear from shifting also

Not sure about matching the curve of the body too make a rear deck or how to attach it with out drilling more holes in the body

I'm liking this a lot but not sure if I want to cut up my Bug body

But this is bad ass cause its on a TA01/TA02 chassis like mine is

And like the flat bed

Yeah baby

I love this cause its so far outside of the box

Not sure of what scale of airplane model motor

I could use to make my own crazy car

That is sick and something completely different

The bug flatbed is sweet! The bug with radial engine is cool, but wow scary dangerous! Good thing you decided to go brushed setup for now, don't think the old TA-01 chassis (although cool) wouldn't hold up to big power brushless like that.

Nah, I think my Sand Scorcher body looks better on my OG 1983 Tamiya Brat, I bought a set of used Frog tires and wheels to give it more of a Baja look, plus make rear tires wider than front,

cause the track/tread of the Brat front wheels are way too wide for the Sand Scorcher body, maybe if I other wheels with different offset, I need to see what wheels will work

I snipped the side spikes and sanded the sides of the rear tires a little too give them more of a street look, I also made a mount to center the steering servo, but not sure, if I like the 2mm connecting rods,

I seen Tamiya makes center servo saver that use 3mm ball ends

So I could use 3mm rod ends and some all thread and beef up the steering a little, never liked the 2mm steering rods on the vintage RC's, broke too easy

Also been checking out the VW motors on Shapeways and I seen the rear cage to protect the VW motor on Ebay
