Re: Tacon Ranger Guys, Here's an example of what I found doing a google search. There were a few that said the body fits 210-225mm chassis's. Often they seem to be M-Chassis's. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/ride-sub...sis-clear.html https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-5158...75.c1#viTabs_0 |
Re: Tacon Ranger Also, what spare parts do you guys recommend I should get right away OR asap? |
Re: Tacon Ranger A buddy and I just grabbed a couple of these. Can I run standard 1/10 TC wheels and rally tires or do I need a special size tire? Thanks in advance! |
Re: Tacon Ranger We've been running cheap tc wheel and tire combos on ours without much issue. |
Re: Tacon Ranger Our cars arrived and I can confirm they use standard 1/10 rally tires. I wish HPI was still making tires. Their Pirellis were good. |
Re: Tacon Ranger I love those Pirellis I stocked up still have about 3 sets. |
Re: Tacon Ranger And then what happened Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude??? Sounds like tons of fun! :) |
Re: Tacon Ranger I have noticed a Vaterra Kemora for sale in in a local classifieds ad. I have thought about picking it up just because it looks fun. Anyone have experience with it? |
Re: Tacon Ranger The Kemora is the same car as the Losi Mini 8 Rally. There's a surprising amount of upgrade parts still available for them, but I feel like they NEED a lot of those parts, mostly due to the flimsy chassis/shock towers. Exotek upper chassis brace would be my first purchase for it. If it's cheap, I'd go for it, it's a fun little car. If you think you'll want to start hopping it up, the Tacon is way ahead of the game and is the better car out of the box, it would also make more financial sense (however much financial sense a toy car can make) but the Mini8 based cars can be seriously built up if you're willing to spend the money. |
