Very cool! I especially love the trucks.

If we had something like this I might not have sold my XV-01, but I wasn't a big fan of the design of that car anyway.

I thought that place held their last race in 2017 as it was closing. Did they keep it open or is this a different Tamiya track?

I believe it's the same track, but it's coming to a close this summer I believe, with the Tamiya Championship Series being August 19th

Yeah, but you took such good care in the building of it that it's evident you truly gave it a chance. I should know since I'm the guy who bought it off you. Sadly, I bet I've only put about 4 or 5 batteries through it during my 15 months of ownership. There's too much urban development in my town to find someplace ideal like what's shown in this Tamiya race track video. Then again, I guess they're about to have the same problem.

Thanks for the kind words! My dad still has his Asterion XV-01 kit in the box. When I was at his house the other day I saw it and wondered about my Red Bull car. I'm glad it went to a good home. Have you tried putting street tires on it, lowering the stance, and driving it on-road?

Yeah, and the forward weight balance makes it fun to aggressively swing the rear around. However, I have a 4 Tec 2.0 that has just enough ground clearance to handle rough pavement and is much easier to maintain than the XV-01. Plus there's something about the XV-01 that just doesn't seem like it would tolerate being thrashed very hard.
