| XV01 advice requested excessive play in the counter gear/slipper shaft
Hi all, I’m building up my XV01 and I noticed the spur gear has a lot of side to side movement. I had installed the slipper clutch so I disassembled and reassembled double checking to make sure I hadn’t missed any shims (I hadn’t). I checked again and got the same thing, close to 2mm of side to side play for the whole slipper shaft assembly. That feels like too much to me. So I disassembled and reassembled using the stock parts, same thing close to 2mm side to side movement of the whole shaft. Is that normal in an XV01. I’m used to maybe 1 millimeter of play. Did anyone else have the same experience? Did you leave it? Or did you have to shim it? Thanks in advance for your input. GK |

I don’t know if it’s normal as I don’t run the slipper. My advice is to shim, always shim
