Default RC ORVA Presents Rocky Mountain Scale Nationals 2015

That time of year is fast approaching and things are finally all set for the first scale Nationals event in Colorado!

The itinerary had to be changed from previous years, but it is going to be packed with events and I hope everyone can come out and play on our beautiful terrain.

This year we will have crawling, TTC, U4 and rally.

Full itinerary, track and rock photos to come soon!

I highly suggest everyone keep April 24th thru the 27th clear on your calendars.

Can't show up to nationals with last years trucks! What's the points cap so I can start building?

I will have to check with the rest of the crew running the event, but I am 90% sure we are doing (C1)60, (C2)50, (C3)50... or maybe (C3)40. I will double check with the guys tomorrow and give you a 100%. For sure they won't be higher then that though.

What's it take to get in on this? Vote in or can anyone buy a spot in this event?

Ticket sales for class 1, class 2, class 3, U4, and rally will open up on a designated day early in the coming year for anyone who wants to buy a ticket.

Anyone from anywhere in the world can buy a ticket and attend this event.

TTC however will be a vote in event, which will take place at the event in April.

I love the idea of voting at the event. It takes away from the popularity contest and makes it for the guys attending to decide! Just sucks packing another truck that I might not get to run. Setting up a pole ahead of time for people with entries only would be awesome.

That was the idea, but it is impossible to dictate who votes in the pole and we have enough on our plates getting the event ready. We just don't have the means to check every single person who voted, make sure they are attending the event and make sure they used all 10 of their votes. With voting taking place at the event we can clearly see they are event attendants, and they voted for 10 drivers/vehicles. It is the fairest way we could come up with to unsure everyone has an equal opportunity to be in the TTC, that really wants to be in the TTC.

But as you said it is a downfall of this method, there will be a few guys who don't get voted in that lug their vehicles across the country, it is just the nature of the beast. Even so, they are still welcome to thrash their vehicle through the TTC course after all competitors are threw.

I will look a little more into a pole on a separate site though, maybe John Rob can set something up on RC ORVA that only people signed up for the event can see...

Hey Zuk, we can be the after show - head to head races on each course after they get done.
I'm sure hotwheels will play line judge for us.
