2.2 Invite/ LCQ spots. less $$, more spots!!
 

2.2 LCQ spots, we have some new information.


During the review of the 2.2 usrcca invites, it was noticed that not all 75 spots were allocated to usrcca clubs. Only 66 were assigned. At some point an error was made.

It was discussed to allocate them back to the clubs. After many discussions and the current time frame it was decided to throw these extra 9 spots to LCQ winners. Allocating them back to the clubs would have started a online argument over which club deserved more, etc.


There is now a possibility of 30+ LCQ drivers that will be taken to the world finals on Saturday.

We are also dropping the LCQ ticket price from 95.00 per ticket to 70.00 per ticket!

If you have already purchased a LCQ spot, 25.00 will be refunded to you.

If you have not purchased a LCQ. Simply purchase your ticket and 25.00 will be refunded to you after your purchase. We can not change the price on eventbrite once ticket sales have begun.

If you make it to the world finals, an additional $30.00 will be due Friday night August 28th.

So if we earn a spot in the Worlds after the LCQ event we pay another $30 for a total of $100? Is this correct or was it a typo?

Yep by Jakes post, $30...Maybe LCQ's get charged a small fee for the late entry?

I'm sure glad we had to run a regionals event because of it also!...."thumbsup"....

As of right now there are 29 lcq entries....provided they pass the test it looks like all entries will go on to the finals.....


How many of the 29 passed the screening test?

I'm pretty sure the "screening test" was only going to come into play if there were over 100 sign ups for the LCQ.

Why not hold on to the extra money until the numbers increase to more than a 100 entries, so we won't have to deal with paying the difference if everyone moves on to Saturday?
