2015 Worlds SCORES September 11th, 12th & 13th 2015

The end effect of the barcode system is that we could take a completely random stack of results from the event, totally mixed classes and drivers and courses, and be able to enter each score in five to ten seconds with a mild workplace. Scan, scan, number, enter. Repeat.

The bar codes were barely a hassle for me as a judge. I got a little worried about making sure they were sticking to my score sheets. Other than that i thought the system worked great on my end.

If i were to change one thing on it..... include driver nicknames/screen names on the barcode. I met alot of people by name this weekend, but i only connected a few to screen names (my fault mostly, but I was in judge mode),.

I have noticed over time there has been less and less Members viewing this site...

There has been clubs that have moved 95% to bookface, is that good for this site, don't think so.......

The barcodes did have last names at the bottom, driver lanyards had name and nickname when given. We can adjust the template to show more on the barcode, I think it's a great idea to have as much info as possible. as much as we are given at least, a lot of folks didn't fill out the nickname during registration and that always helps to remember who is who.

I Got my barcode wet trying to stay cool. Jonathan advised to use last 3 number on barcode if they're ruined. I got lucky and barcode sticker sheet dried out & stuck. this was all my fault.

Are the scores going to be posted up by course as well or just the final?

I'm sure by next year the bugs will be worked out of the scoring.

In 2013 it took us a while to post up.

I think this would actually be a big mistake. I even think putting it on the East Coast next year would be a mistake.

I think the next Worlds should be in the location where you can pull the most competitors. Maybe So. Cal or Nor. Cal?

You lose West coast folks when it goes East and vice versa but I would play the odds and put it where you would have the most people. Using that logic, you would lose East and West coast folks by going CAN.... IMHO.

Sorry for off topic in scores thread.

Talking about IMHO. Using comp title "Worlds" is just wrong, if we are playing on the same field every time. And talking about registered drivers, France in it's own had more drivers in their nationals this year than the worlds. (Talking about pro class) Honestly if we are going to speak about worlds, you have to open eyes for it. There is a lot of drivers in every part of it. I know JRH knows this and with improving all the basic stuff he is leading this hobby to a better future.

I have felt like this for a long time and that's why I try to gather all the drivers even within Europe to the same comp. So I feel, I'm not only a guy shouting from the passenger seat. I want a comp where all the best drivers from the world are involved.

Just sayin'. No bad feelings.

Ps. I'm also willing to help with this in every possible way.

IMHO, if France could pull the MOST drivers out of anywhere in the World, I would vote to have the comp in France.

Just saying I am not stuck on California or West coast, just where it would get the most attendance unless we got our numbers back up and it didnt matter anymore.

I'd love to comp in Canada too... So I'll let you know if that starts taking shape as well.

The top of our list is Nordics (I'm dying to see those countries), I think second on the list would be the French Nationals. Of course it all comes down to the almighty dollar (not to be confused with the Almighty Malachi, hahaha). So everyone should buy something from Y-town and help us get to Europe! Hahaha.
If something more than dreaming starts happening I will definitely let you know! Aussie nats are also a possibility... So many great international options! If only we could win the lottery...
