If you guys are afraid of cutting the Med XVD's... Don't worry.. You can just change the outer Stub shafts. All the steering is gained from the outer shafts. Super easy 5min upgrade. |

I just looked to see what your up to, looks like your working hard to squeeze every once of performance from these axles, keep up the good work. I just did the XVD cup mod and got about 2 degrees out of them with out touching the shaft I still need to open up the tube. I looks to me like the tube opening is the hangup. |

| Yes.. The Outer Cup is much thinner on the Med. XVD... The inner axles are all the same. Just the lengths are different... Far as I know.. All their newer XVD parts for the Bully axles. Work with each other.

Better Steering from your XVD's with out Grinding or drilling out your Shafts. All bolt on Parts.. Whats needed: Z-S0063 RC4wd.com MIP-CB12 Thundertechracing.com You can use the Stock TTR CVD 12mm Plastic Hex's too, and they are easy to find. What the Axle shafts are capable of Compared to the stock 2.2 Shafts.. Stock 2.2 on Left... Med Super XVD on right. You need to shave just a little off the back of the TTR Hex's.. Slide on the new Hex's. Take the old outer Shaft and thread into the new Outer. Pull out on the axle and line up the holes for the Pin. This is without shaving the tubes and knuckles.. This will also widen the track width. So this one Mod kills two birds with one Stone.. Better Steering Widens Track width to clear links and shocks... For the better steering. Those are The Shocks I sell on my Website. Those happen to be 70mm with the Cap Mod done. I ran them all last year too. They still look new.

Anytime... Plan today is to Flip the Link/Shock mounts back over to lower my ride height. I'm close to 4in under the Skid...

1... Change the Hex's to the Middle size. 2.... The TTR CVD Hex is really 1/8in longer then the XVD Stub Shaft. So I could cut them down an 1/8in. This is way I wouldn't use the Plastic Hex's. Alumn. would hold up fine. But with the 1/8in overhang.. The plastic may have to much give in it. But I'm going to run it at 11in and see how I do. I do know a few guys that do well at 11in.

To get that much steering. The width is needed. I bet I could get down to 10-3/4in and still keep most of the steering I gained. It's just one of those things. To get the extra steering.. The Width came with it. Width hurts getting through Gates at times. But the extra Steering would make that easier.. Much Easier to Dig as well. The extra width helps on side Hills too. So I look at it with more Pro's then Cons..
