Talking GABronco/SCBronco's Bully'd Havoc...

Here is my Bully Rig for all to scrutinize!

It started life as a Kamikaze Kustoms ST, I broke two seperate sets of sideplates before going to another half torsion setup known as the Havoc.

The Havoc Chassis is very predictable, a lot of fun to drive and very comp worthy because of its adjustability and low weight, while still being very durable!

Did this at a comp, got it in a bind!

I run some Losi Shocks in the rear that are limited internally with pen springs, not sure what the shocks are off of, i traded a friend for them since they are shorter than the Losi Crawler shocks.

My lower links are from The Real Dogman. These are some sweet links that are very reasonably priced and available with Revo ends already installed!

I run a Bully Specific Rear Axle tray available from BOWTIE.

Also on my axles are CRWLER1's BullySkidz to help this pig slide on the rocks.

The original motors were some Integy 35t's, these were surprisingly easy to bind up, once available i installed a couple of legendary Holmes Handwound 35t's. If you have never experienced a set of quality handwounds, you are missing out, they ARE worth the extra entry fee!

The rest of the Electronics are:
Mamba Max
CC BEC
Hitec 7955tg formerly a JR 8711.
Hong King Lipos off of eBay.
DX3R/SR3100
Radio Shack Micro Switches and Hitec HS-55 (still waiting on my Punk RC dig)

I originally had a set of Mayhem Phatties for this rig but after denying my love for the Vanquish Dirty Harry's for too long i sold the CDP's for a set of the DH's. These are amazingly crafted, almost sad to grind them against rocks! I have been running White Dot Rovers, while i really liked them, i wasnt convinced they were the best with all the new offerings available now. I am currently running and really liking the RC4WD X-Locks with 6 in Memory Maker foams with a half of stock X-lock foam on the outside of each front to stiffen them up under my heavy truck.

Ill try and get some action shots this weekend.

Any Questions?

Nathan

From the looks of it. You need to lower the whole thing down. Whats your Skid Clearance?

I think it might be the angle i took the shot at.

Ill have to check it though, i'm honestly not sure. I am running 70mm links in the front and i am not sure of the static length of the rear Losi's. What is the Best Belly Clearance with the Havoc?

Looks good. Are those the Bully 2 axles?

It looks like your Kamikaze setup has the torsion in the rear and the JP chassis has the torsion in the front... what is the advantage of moving the torsion to the front? Jeepial... any comments. I'm interested in this chassis.

Thank you very much. No, both sets of my axles are the OG Bullys. And as far as the differences and advantages to the opposite style chassis; The Havoc was designed to be ran Torsion up front, it crawls beautifully and just seems to have great geometry as far as the links go. The ST on the other hand when it was first released Jeff said it could be run either way, but he recommends it be run torsion in the rear...I prefer the torsion in the front on the Havoc chassis as it just seems to have a more predictable range of motion.

Nathan
I've been waiting to see what that lid looks like on someones rig... looks good!

Couple more questions for you: Are those lower links from JP Customs as well? Is it possible to run them on the inside of the skid? Do the bullys have clearance to run any lowers narrow on the skid side? Thanks for answering my questions. I'm interested to see how it works for you at the comp!

Thank you! From what i understand JPCustoms does have links now, but no, these are from "The Real Dogman", and no i cannot run the links without getting lots of binding against the swollen gearcases of the Bullys. I know some people do run them inside the skid and i believe a smaller diameter link setup would be just fine, these are just very beefy to stand up to lots of abuse. Check back after sunday for an update and some pictures...
