Default ~Prototype Fubar Bully Build~

I have really been loving my Fubar skeeter chassis it's a real solid set-up...if I could change one thing it would be a smaller skid(shorter) I spoke with John at Fubar crawlers about the smaller skid and he said hey that's funny...I been thinking about a chassis with a shorter skid anyway! give me a week or so and I will see what I can come up with.....
well I week or so later and after a few PM's swapping ideas this is what John come up with!! a skinner and shorter chassis...
I would like to thank John for helping me..he is top notch guy.

here are the build specs..
~Fubar Prototype chassis~
~RC4WD Bully 2 Axles~
~RC4WD Steering Kit~
~JP Custom 35x2 LE motors~
~HSR-5990TG steering @ 6.0v~
~DUAL Tekin FXR's~
~CC BEC~
~SS Links~
~RC4WD Lowboy Beadlocks~
~RC4WD X-lock Comp Tires~
~4PK and RX~

Chassis pics compared to the Skeeter..

That's a nice looking Chassis. I love my Skeeter that I'm running now.

I might have to talk to John about getting one of those myself

The machine work on the chassis looks good. The shorter skid is nice but being that narrow it looks like you might have some difficulties with the bullies. The size of the gearbox can make lower link and shock mounting a challenge even on 2.5 skids. Be ready to space the shocks out about an inch from the plates.

yeah I know it will be tricky...but my bent links and offset rodends seem to work really well so I think I can make this work.....
but if not John sent me some options......

I might try a droop set-up...or..?
still thinking and deciding.

yes he's a very cool guy....top notch.
Gnat..lol.. you gotta ask John about that it's just a proto right now I guess he will name it when it's ready?

I changed my set-up plans..I'm gonna try dual FXR's and a 4PK it's gonna be tricky to have all that adjust ability at first but I think it will really come in handy for lots of situations..

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like the chassis and if anyone can get it to work with the Bullies, it's you..

The outboard/outboard skid actually has wider spacing then the standard Skeeter so it's a given that it will work, until you get to the shock mounting.

Get-r-done!!

Nice work guys!! way to lock some spots!

i'm just waiting for my 4pk and esc's to show up now..
I mocked up some links this week.....they looked real nice but ended up putting my rig at a 12.75" wheelbase...:?
this chassis is gonna be super tight fit for links!! and at this point it's gonna be running the outter link skid..the inner is just crazy tight with the bully axles....might have to try droop this time....
hopefully I have a nice update this next week....but I might be busy getting my curret comp rig and myself ready for the WCC.....

Who made your links? I need them! haha

And yes, these motors are amazing, i hope you run some quality lipos, i let the smoke out of one of mine this weekend when i picked my truck up to see what i fried, solder ran out of the pack. So yes, they pull some amps! AND they have some SERIOUS WHEELSPEED N' TORQUE!

haha thanks bud...I made those links.. we got a lathe at work and I just used a shop vise and a long handle snap-on 11/16" box end to make the bends:-P
I do have a pretty nice size bag of bad bent links and weird lengths from all my screw ups..
the links turned out pretty good...I think I could even run the RC4WD lexan covers with these links...

I got some good and some cheap 3s lipos...but now your making me nervous...I had my eye on the 30c thunder powers pros...and the Hyperion makes some new lipos that have some great kick too..
