Default Opinions Needed

I just saw that Vanquish products will be releasing a new rim later this month, the R-2. It looks great and the price is good too. So, my question is this- on the bully axles I believe you need to run an axial offset rim and according to vanquish's webpage your track width with these will be 9.062 inches; Is this too narrow for a comp rig??? I don't have a lot of experience and i'm trying to learn as i go, but wouldn't sidehilling be an issue when your rig is that narrow? Thanks in advance

Width is a give take. Some times it helps--some times it hurts.

I think alot to do what what width is the type of terain you typicly comp on. Some places you rarely see any sidehilling or alot of climbs, or just technical turning..

I think 10" is about right for most though

I am running the vanquish dh 2.2 with 585 offsets in front and 460 offsets in the rear and it works well. This makes my truck 9.75 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. The theory behind this is that its not too wide thus helping when entering gates on off angles. The rear is narrower to pull through gates easier. This also is wide enough to sidehill very well. Especially since the bully is so heavy on the axles.

This is just my opinion but I have done allot of research before I made my choice.

I was just checking out the rims. They look nice but it didnt say if they were adjustable offset like the dh 2.2

If they are not you may be better off spending the extra $45 to get the DH Promcomps since the new ones you are looking at are $100 a set anyways.

I believe Steve(sorry if this is wrong) was the owner or something. He was very helpful with answering questions and giving me advice when I ordered mine. Great company and great products

Thanks for the input guys, Crazyhorse I think your right, these rims don't come in an adjustable offset but it would be great if they did.
