It's basically just a rip off of the Mantis Chassis but with really poor link geometry.

It is legal as long as you put a body on it. The suspension geometry looks horrible though. I would pass on it for sure.

If that rear shock mount moves then it is not comp legal. I can't tell by looking and I can't read the language.

I would assume it doesn't.

The rules say:
• 2.1.5 - All suspension mounting points must be fixed mounted. This includes all link mounts, and shock mounts.

helhedded, the rear axle is solidly mounted to the rear of the chassis, but it has a moving part in the front where the shocks are attached. So technically that is not the exact point where the shock is mounted... Those japanese have crazy ideas! Anyone know if they have different rules there?

ps. heres one more pic:

Yes, thats the front, and there is a pivot in that red circle.

ahahaha I couldn't tell the front from the back of that weird thing. That pivot point will make the chassis illegal because it isn't "fix mounted." IF IT MOVES. It probably doesnt and this post along with my other is an example of time wasted at work

It does move, that is how it gains all the belly clearance at the end of that vid to clear that ledge.

This chassis doesn't look even close to a Mantis chassis...Not sure how it could be a rip off.And for having poor link geometry it sure seems to crawl well..I think it is very cool looking for sure.I would consider trying one if it used a sprung set up out front.I'm not much on droop set ups,but it seems to fit in well with the low slung Japan style crawlers.

We don't want to leave it to you do decide when a chassis design is unique......

Solid/torsion mount rear with a 4 link sprung (or droop it doesn't matter) front. As far as crawling well...it looks inconsistent to me. It does look like it fits the Japanese style, obviously. But if you would have seen how those rigs worked on our typical courses you could tell that they are not very capable here. It is also easy to make something look good in a video when you use 10 hours of film to edit it down.
