Default Bully axle/SWX?

hey guys, jumping into the MOA market soon, trying to decide what route to go. i have my axial/swx chassis and just love it. Trying to figure out if i would be able to use it with bully axles? i know the skid is a little long and the links would be short but do you think the added width of the chassis would help negotiating the links around gear boxes and motor.

Or option 2 is to pony up the moneys and get the kit version with alum wheels and chassis ready to go just tune it. trying to figure best option.

You can get the Kit version of the bullys but there are so many options out there for a chassis that are very affordable. Personally i like the HavoC on my bullys. The weight of the axles and the lightweight delrin chassis keep the cog very low and the torsion on the front end will let you pull up over alot of breakovers that a normal sprung rig might have to overthrottle to get up.

Check it out HERE.

(Yes im sponsored by JPCustomRCs.com but i was running the HavoC before I joined the JP Team so its not a biased opinion)

I think I may have glanced at something that said the swx's lowers are too narrow to clear the bully cases, but I may be wrong

I would stay away from the kit version from RC4WD. Unless you are just looking to get up and running right away. Can't speak for the other kits. I bought the RC4WD kit which works fine for the kid to run in the novice class. The shocks are pretty weak and there are better tires for the rock we have around here. That and the chassis is pretty soft aluminum bends too easy. But it was ARTR so it wasn't overwelming for the kid to get it running than say building something from the axles up.

Stick with the chassis you have if you like it. You probably we need double bent links like Crash did on his.

Buy the axles and try it, if it doesn't work you can pick up a good chassis for $50-$110

That was probably in the thread I created. The skid is to long making the links to short. The rod ends hit and bind on chassis. I tried on monday and it didt work no matter what I did. You can always try yourself but most likely wont happen. I had planned to get the jp hellstrom but got offered a vanquish for cheap so Im going that route.

i think i saw that post alson on how you had a hell of a time with those link lengths. probably should just save a few more pennys and poney up to the jp customs build. thanks for the input and i just need to decide between a four letter word (losi) or the bully set. thanks guys i believethe swx is gonna be scratched off the list with bullys
